Jake Paul was photographed at MVPW 02 at Madison Square Garden in New York wearing a Richard Mille RM 17-01 Tourbillon in white ceramic and rose gold. Estimated price: around $815,000.
He wore it with a plain white t-shirt. The watch costs more than most houses, and it is the only thing in the outfit that says so.
What it is
Richard Mille is the youngest brand at this level. It was founded in 2001 and quickly became the watch of choice for athletes, partly because its watches are built to be worn while actually doing sport. The tonneau, or barrel-shaped, case you can see here is its signature.
The RM 17-01 pairs a white ceramic case with rose gold details. Ceramic is very hard to scratch and much lighter than gold, so the watch is far more comfortable than it looks. The dial is skeletonised: most of it is cut away so you can see the movement inside.
What a tourbillon does
The movement is a manual-winding tourbillon. You wind it by hand through the crown, and it runs for around 70 hours on a full wind.
The tourbillon itself is the small rotating cage you can see at the bottom of the dial. It holds the parts that regulate the watch and turns them slowly, around once a minute. The idea dates back to 1801: gravity pulls slightly differently on those parts depending on how the watch is positioned, and spinning them evens that out. Today it is less about accuracy and more about craftsmanship, because it is one of the hardest things in watchmaking to make well. That is a large part of the price.
Why Richard Mille costs this much
Richard Mille makes a small number of watches a year, uses expensive materials, and finishes every part by hand. Demand from collectors, athletes and celebrities is far larger than supply.
That is why the brand holds value better than almost anyone in luxury watches. On the secondary market, many references trade close to or above their original price. The RM 17-01 is rarely seen in public, which only adds to that.
Where to find one
The position we hold on every page here. Richard Mille is one of the most faked brands in the world right now, and the copies are getting better. There is no cheap version of this watch, and we will not link one.
At this price, buy only from a seller that authenticates the watch and gives you its papers. We could not find the RM 17-01 itself, so the link goes to the closest white ceramic Richard Mille we could find.

Worth saying
Jake Paul has been on Fashion Place before, in an all-black outfit in New York. That look was all about the clothes. This one is a white t-shirt and a watch worth over $800,000. He knows which one people will notice.
Price checked 18 October 2026 and will move. Richard Mille prices are set by the secondary market and change with demand. Fashion Place earns a commission on some links at no extra cost to you.
