Cristiano Ronaldo was photographed arriving at training in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, wearing a Jacob & Co. Royal Baguette. Estimated price: around $960,000.

It is the second time this watch has appeared on Fashion Place. He also wore it with a Gucci tracksuit at the Esports World Cup. This time it went to a training session, which makes it roughly the price of a house in most of Europe, worn to go and run drills.

What it is

Disclosure first. Ronaldo has a long-standing collaboration with Jacob & Co., built on his friendship with founder Jacob Arabo. When he wears the brand, he is wearing a brand he works with.

The Royal Baguette is Jacob & Co.’s high-jewellery watch. The case is 49mm of 18k white gold, and almost every surface you can see (case, bezel, lugs, dial and bracelet) is covered in baguette-cut diamonds.

Inside is an automatic movement. It keeps time like any good Swiss watch, but nobody buys this one for the movement. The watch is the setting.

Diamonds with no metal showing

The baguettes are invisibly set. On a normal diamond watch, each stone is held by small metal prongs or beads, and you can see them. Here the stones are cut with grooves and slid onto a hidden gold framework underneath, so they sit edge to edge with no metal between them.

That is why the watch reads as one solid surface of diamond rather than a watch with diamonds on it. It is also a large part of the price. Every stone has to be cut to an exact size to fit its neighbours, and a bracelet that bends around a wrist has to keep hundreds of them perfectly in line.

Big watches, ordinary days

Most footballers save their biggest watches for award nights and red carpets. Ronaldo wears his to work. This is the second diamond watch of his we have covered on its own page, after the Patek Philippe Nautilus Haute Joaillerie he wore at the World Cup.

The two are worth comparing. The Patek is a famous sports watch that has been covered in diamonds. The Royal Baguette was designed as a diamond object from the start. One is a watch first, the other is jewellery first.

What happens to the value

Be clear-eyed about this one. Fully diamond-set watches from jewellery-led brands rarely hold value the way a Patek Philippe or a Rolex can. The buyer pool for a near-million-dollar diamond watch is small, and much of the price is stones and labour that do not resell at retail.

The listing we found is pre-owned, which tells you a secondary market exists. It does not tell you the first owner got their money back.

Where to find one

The position we hold on every page here. Fully paved watches are among the most faked pieces there are, because diamonds hide poor finishing. There is no cheap version of this watch, and we will not link one.

At this price, buy only from a seller that authenticates the watch and gives you its papers.

Worth saying

We priced the outfit Ronaldo wore with this watch on this page. Everything except the watch came to about $6,200.

The watch was the rest of the million.

Price checked 18 October 2026 and will move. Prices for high-jewellery watches are set by the secondary market and change with demand. Fashion Place earns a commission on some links at no extra cost to you.
