Tom Holland’s Bottega Veneta Outfit in London: Get the Look
The original
$100,500
Our version
$160.95
Four pieces credited, $100,500, on a pink carpet in Trafalgar Square. And the arithmetic on this one is extraordinary.
The watch is $95,000 of it. Ninety-five per cent of the outfit is a Rolex you can barely see in the photograph. The three garments together come to $5,500.
Worth a note on the clothes, since we have covered several head-to-toe single-brand looks recently. Alcaraz and Zendaya were both contracted Louis Vuitton ambassadors. We could find no such arrangement between Tom Holland and Bottega Veneta — his ambassadorships are with Prada Beauty and Vuori. So this looks like a stylist’s choice rather than an obligation.
The burgundy top underneath is not credited, and it is the only colour in the entire photograph.

A short zip-front blouson in a blue-grey cotton faille — a fabric with a fine crosswise rib that gives it a slight sheen and holds its shape rather than draping.
The cut is a Harrington: cropped to the waist, straight shoulders, a flat collar, one chest pocket. It sits above the trouser waistband rather than covering it.
Length is what matters. The jacket has to end at the waist. Anything longer and you lose the break between jacket and trouser, which is the only shape this outfit has.
Blue-grey rather than navy. Against charcoal trousers it needs to read as a different colour, not a darker one.

Charcoal wool, flat front, straight through the leg with a single break over the boot. Formal trousers worn with a casual jacket, which is the whole idea.
Straight, not tapered and not wide. The leg should fall in one clean line from hip to hem.
Length just touching the top of the boot. Too short and the Cuban heel stops working.

Chunky Heel
Leather chelsea boots with heel, black

Save $1,893

Black leather, ankle height, side zip, and a Cuban heel — a stacked block heel of maybe two inches, angled slightly inward.
The heel is the detail worth paying attention to. A flat Chelsea boot with these trousers gives you a smart-casual outfit. The Cuban heel tilts it somewhere else entirely — it lengthens the leg, changes how he stands, and adds a sixties note that the cropped jacket is already gesturing at.
Look for a visible stacked heel rather than a flat sole. Everything else about the boot can be ordinary.

Seventeen dollars, uncredited, and the only colour in a photograph that is otherwise blue-grey, charcoal and black.
Take it out and the outfit dies. A white or black t-shirt under that jacket leaves you with three shades of grey and nothing to look at. The burgundy is warm, it sits against cool grey, and it is the reason your eye goes to the middle of the frame.
Deep burgundy rather than red. It has to be dark enough to sit quietly with charcoal, not fight it.

We are not going to pretend there is an alternative here. A $95,000 Daytona is a gem-set or precious-metal reference, not the steel model, and the position we hold everywhere on this site applies: the Daytona is among the most counterfeited watches ever made, and a fake is not a dupe.
We wrote about Daytona pricing in detail on Lamine Yamal’s diamond Daytona, including why factory-set stones matter and what the aftermarket trade does to value. Worth reading if this is the part of the outfit you came for.
The button above goes to Rolex at The Luxury Closet. Both buttons on this row point to the same place, deliberately — there is nowhere else honest to send you.
What it costs
Four pieces, $160.95 against $100,500. That is 99.9 per cent less, and as usual with a number that large, it tells you almost nothing.
Here is the honest version. The three garments cost $5,500 and we replaced them for $160.95 — 97.1 per cent less, which is an ordinary result for this site. The watch is a different category of object and we have not tried to replace it.
What is actually copyable: a cropped grey-blue jacket, charcoal trousers, black boots with a heel, and a burgundy t-shirt. The seventeen-dollar item is the one carrying the photograph.
