Neymar Jr’s Leather Bomber Outfit in Riyadh: Get the Look

Three pieces credited, $3,280, on a red carpet in Riyadh. A black leather bomber, dark trousers, polished black boots. Almost the whole outfit is one colour.

Which is why the shirt matters so much, and the shirt is not on the credit list. White, printed with red, worn open under the jacket — it is the only light thing and the only colour in the entire photograph. Cover it up and this becomes a man in black.

Also uncredited: a gold watch and a bracelet, both catching light at the wrist where his hands are raised.

The shirt

Twenty dollars, uncredited, and structurally the most important garment here. In a photograph that is otherwise black leather and black wool, this is the only thing giving the frame any contrast.

What you will not match: the red graphic. His is a printed shirt with red panels down the placket, and that specific print is not something you can search for. We have listed a plain white shirt instead.

If you want the red back, the honest options are a white shirt with any bold red print, or simply a red tie or scarf at the neck. What matters is that something red sits in the middle of all that black. The exact graphic is not the point — the colour break is.

Wear it open at the collar and untucked enough to show below the jacket hem.

The jacket

Black leather, cut like a varsity jacket — ribbed collar, ribbed cuffs, ribbed hem, snap front. It sits short, ending at the hip, which is what keeps the proportion working against wide trousers.

Get the ribbing right. A leather jacket with a leather collar is a biker jacket and a different outfit entirely. The knitted collar and cuffs are what make this a varsity.

The trousers

Dark, wide through the leg, breaking heavily over the boot. The stripe on the original is fine and tonal — in the photograph you cannot see it at all, which tells you how much it matters here.

So a plain dark trouser gets you there. What you need is the width and the length: full enough to hang straight from the hip, long enough to pool slightly on the shoe.

The boots

High-shine black leather, square-toed, ankle height, mostly hidden under the trouser. Only the toe and a little of the vamp actually show.

More than half the original total is the jacket. And of that $1,700, a meaningful share is a waterproof membrane worn indoors on a red carpet in Riyadh.
