Lamine Yamal’s Louis Vuitton Outfit at the AFE Awards: Get the Look
The original
$160,150
Our version
$135.96
Four pieces credited, $160,150, at the AFE Awards in Madrid. It is Lamine Yamal’s third appearance here, after his birthday outfit and his Rolex Daytona.
It is the same Daytona. Reference 126598TBR, the gem-set version, credited here at $150,000 — which is 94 per cent of the outfit total. We gave that watch a page of its own, so this one stays on the clothes.
The white shirt and the tie are not credited, and they are doing more work than their absence suggests.

Cream leather, zip front, ribbed cuffs and hem, cut like a track top rather than a blazer. And across the body, the Louis Vuitton monogram — not printed, but punched through the leather as perforations.
Which is the line we hold every time. The monogram is Louis Vuitton’s trademark, and a jacket reproducing it is a counterfeit, not a dupe — the same call we made on Vinícius Jr’s belt and Lewis Hamilton’s briefcase.
What we have linked is the shape without the pattern: an ivory faux-leather jacket with a stand collar and a zip front. Against black trousers it does the same job — a pale, casual top half over formal bottom half.
Cream or ivory, not white. The warmth is what stops it looking like a uniform.

Black, double-pleated at the waist, cut very wide and falling long over the shoes with a heavy break.
The double pleat is a classic tailoring detail, not a trademark, and it is what creates the volume through the hip. Any well-cut pleated wide-leg trouser gives you this.
Wide and long. The hem should sit on the shoe, not above it.

A white shirt with a slim tie, worn buttoned to the collar under the jacket.
They are the reason this reads as an awards outfit. Take the shirt and tie away and the jacket is sportswear. Put them in and the whole thing becomes formal, which is exactly the trick: a track top worn over collar and tie, with tailored trousers below.
A set gets you both for twenty-six dollars. Keep the tie narrow and in a muted colour — taupe, brown or grey rather than black.

Black, soft, unstructured, slipped on without hardware. The Row makes them in eel skin or crinkled leather, which is where the texture comes from.
In this photograph, under a trouser hem that covers most of the shoe, what you see is a black slip-on with a soft toe. No buckle, no tassel, no visible detail.
Plain black, no hardware. Soft rather than polished.

Yellow gold, diamond-set bezel, on a leather strap. The reference is 126598TBR, and the gem setting is most of the price — a steel Daytona lists far lower and still trades above list.
We covered this exact watch in full on its own page, including how the gem-set references are priced and why they are so hard to buy at retail.
Same position as every watch page here: no alternative. A diamond-set Daytona at a low price is a fake, and a fake is not a dupe.
What it costs
Five pieces, $135.96 against $160,150. That is 99.9 per cent less, and the watch makes the figure meaningless.
The clothing is the honest comparison. The three credited garments cost $10,150 and we replaced them for $135.96 — 98.7 per cent less.
And the structure of this outfit is worth copying even if none of the pieces are. It is a tracksuit jacket worn over a shirt and tie, with wide tailored trousers and plain black loafers. The formality comes entirely from the $26 shirt and tie — the most expensive garment in the outfit is the one pulling in the opposite direction.
