Kylian Mbappe’s Hublot Big Bang Seddiqi 75th: What It Is and What It Costs
The watch
Big Bang Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary
Estimated price
$25,000
Kylian Mbappé was photographed at MetLife Stadium before France played Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, holding a Hublot Big Bang made for the 75th anniversary of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.
Around $25,000, and unlike the other watches we have covered, this one you almost certainly cannot buy. Twenty-five were made.

What it is
A Big Bang chronograph in a titanium case, with the crown and pushers in King Gold — Hublot’s own gold alloy, mixed with platinum to keep the colour from fading over time. Titanium is light and grey and matte; King Gold is warm and bright. Putting them on the same watch is the entire design idea.
Inside is the Unico, Hublot’s in-house chronograph movement, with a 72-hour power reserve. The strap is rubber, textured to match the dial.
The dial itself is stamped with a pattern Hublot calls a carbon effect — a fine checkerboard that catches light at different angles. Up close it reads less like carbon fibre and more like woven cloth.
The part that makes it interesting
The numerals are Eastern Arabic. Not the Western digits you would normally find on a watch dial, but the numerals used across the Arabic-speaking world — on the hour markers, the minute track, the date window and the subdials.
That is genuinely unusual. Swiss watch brands make regional editions all the time, but they are usually a different dial colour or an engraved caseback. Changing the entire numeral system means redesigning the dial layout from scratch, because the characters are different widths and sit differently in the space.
Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons is a Dubai retailer, founded in 1950, and one of the largest sellers of Swiss watches in the world. This was made for their seventy-fifth year. The checkerboard on the dial is meant to recall the pattern of a keffiyeh, which is either a nice piece of design thinking or a stretch, depending on how generous you are feeling.
Twenty-five pieces
This is the number that matters more than the price. Twenty-five watches exist, and they were sold through one retailer, largely to its own clients.
A Rolex Daytona is rare in the sense that demand outstrips supply. This is rare in a different way — the entire production run would fit on one table. There is no queue to join and no allocation to wait for, because there is nothing left to allocate.
Practically, that means the watch surfaces on the open market almost never. When one does appear it is through a specialist dealer or an auction, and the price is whatever two interested people decide it is on that day.
What happens to the value
Worth saying plainly, because most celebrity watch coverage does not. Almost all luxury watches lose money. Rolex sports models are the well-known exception, and that exception has made people assume every expensive watch is an investment. It is not.
Hublot as a brand generally trades below retail on the secondary market. If you buy a standard Big Bang at list and sell it a few years later, you would usually expect to take a loss.
A twenty-five-piece edition is harder to call. Scarcity can hold a price up, but it also shrinks the pool of buyers to almost nobody, which makes a watch hard to sell at any price. Illiquid and expensive are not the same as valuable.
None of that is a reason not to want it. It is a reason to buy it because you like it rather than because you think it will appreciate.
Where to find one
Realistically, not through a shop. If you want this specific reference, it means watching specialist dealers and auction houses and being patient for a long time.
If you want a Big Bang, that is much more achievable — it is one of Hublot’s core models and there is a healthy pre-owned market for the standard references.
The usual warning applies. Hublot is heavily counterfeited and the Big Bang is the most copied shape in the range. Buy from somewhere that authenticates.
Worth saying
We priced a full Mbappé outfit on this page if you want the rest of what he wears.
He is holding this one rather than wearing it, which is its own small detail. A watch made for a Dubai jeweller’s anniversary, presented on a pitch in New Jersey, before a France–Senegal World Cup match. Modern football in one photograph.
