Jennifer Lopez’s White Lace Outfit in Sicily: Get the Look
The original
$9,470
Our version
$139.95
Five pieces credited, $9,470, all Dolce & Gabbana, in Sicily. It is Jennifer Lopez’s second appearance here, after her look in Malibu.
Some context on the brand. Lopez was in Sicily in July as the headline performer at Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda celebrations in Taormina, and the house made all of her stage looks. We cannot confirm this daytime photograph is from that same trip — but if it is, head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana is not a coincidence.
It also fits the place. Domenico Dolce is Sicilian, and the island has been the house’s main reference for decades: white lace, headscarves, polka dots, 1950s Italian cinema. This outfit is that whole idea in five pieces.
And every one of those five pieces is a generic style. That makes this one of the most copyable looks we have priced.

White cotton, thin straps, a scalloped neckline, and the whole thing covered in cut-out embroidery — flowers and circles stitched round their edges, with the centres cut away.
That technique is broderie anglaise, or eyelet: embroidery where holes are cut into the fabric and bound with stitching. It has been made for centuries, belongs to nobody, and sits on summer dresses at every price point.
What the $3,650 buys is density and precision. The original has large, bold motifs placed deliberately across the body. Cheaper eyelet tends to be smaller, more uniform and more repetitive. At a distance, in sunlight, the difference is smaller than the price suggests.
Pure white, short, thin straps. A scalloped hem if you can find one — it is what makes the edge look finished.
The headscarf

Dolce & Gabbana
Cut-out lace veil

Lace Scarf
Triangle lace head scarf, white
$6.99
Save $863

Eight hundred and seventy dollars for a lace headscarf.
White lace, folded into a triangle, laid over the hair and tied under the chin. It is a direct reference to 1950s Italian film — the way women covered their hair against the sun and wind on a Vespa — and it is the single piece that makes this outfit read as Sicilian rather than simply summery.
It is also the easiest piece on the page to copy. Lace triangle, tied loosely under the chin, hair left out underneath.
The sunglasses

FEISEDY
Small vintage cat-eye sunglasses, black
$14.99
Save $385
Price checked 26 September 2026
Black, thick-framed, upswept at the outer corners. The cat-eye is another 1950s shape, and against a white headscarf it gives the face its only hard black line.
Thick black acetate, a definite flick at the corners. Thin or rimless frames lose the contrast.
The shoes
She wore

Polka dot slingback pumps

White with black polka dots, pointed toe, slingback strap.
Polka dots are one of Dolce & Gabbana’s signature motifs, but the dot itself belongs to no one. This is the only pattern in the outfit, and it sits at the feet, away from all the white lace above.
Black dots on white, pointed toe. The slingback keeps it light.
The bag

GLITZALL
Small top handle bag
$29.99
Save $3,570

Small, white, structured, carried by a single top handle.
The Marlene carries Dolce & Gabbana’s DG logo hardware, and that is the one part we do not copy — the same line we hold on every logo. What we have linked is a plain small top-handle bag with no branding. White or cream, rigid rather than slouchy, carried by hand.
What it costs
Five pieces, $139.95 against $9,470. That is 98.5 per cent less.
And unlike most pages here, there is no watch, no Kelly and no protected shape distorting the number. The only thing on this outfit that belongs to Dolce & Gabbana is the logo on the bag. Everything else — eyelet embroidery, a lace headscarf, cat-eye sunglasses, polka dots — is decades or centuries old and free to anyone.
Which means nearly all of the $9,470 is the name. The look itself costs $139.95.
